October 13, 2008 - TransBiodiesel, an Israeli start-up that is developing a novel technology to produce biodiesel, has raised $1.5 million from the AquAgro Fund.
The investment enables TransBiodiesel continuing its ambitious program. The company has recently received results of external laboratory tests, which show, that biodiesel produced in TransBiodiesel's pilot plant fully satisfies standard fuel requirements.Glycerol obtained as a by-product is of good quality and the production costs are lower than the production costs of fully industrial plants which use chemical catalysts.
